It is going to be a busy weekend!
This holiday weekend is full – not with bar b ques, parties, family, friends, fireworks, swimming – well maybe family and swimming if the weather cooperates. But we are dealing with my father in law. He is 96 years old and he recently fell so he has been in a nursing home for the past 3 weeks. Now we have to move him to an Adult Family Home, so that has been our focus all week. This is not an easy undertaking. We are working with Brokers, the Veterans Administration, the Nursing Home and previewing several Adult Family Homes that will accept him. We finally found one fairly close to home and work that may accept him, depending on his needs.
After he has been assessed by a Registered Nurse, then the Adult Family Home will decide whether they can meet his needs. So hopefully we will be moving him, tomorrow, the 4th of July and probably all day Saturday too. And on Saturday afternoon, I get the pleasure of babysitting my grandkids.
I will get to work on Sunday, however. I will be holding an Open House at 1020 167th Ave SE in Snohomish. A beautiful 4 bed home on 5 acres with fruit trees, garden and an entertainment sized deck.
